About Nathan Tipper
My name is Nathan Tipper, MD and I joined the orthopaedic and sports medicine department in 2022 with a focus in sports medicine. I received my bachelor’s degree in biomolecular science from the University of Michigan and medical degree at the University of Toledo. Following medical school, I completed my residency in family medicine and a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Throughout my career, I have published multiple peer-reviewed articles and presented at several medical conferences.
I was an athlete in high school, playing football and boxing, which led to my interest in pursuing a sports medicine career. My goal as a physician is to help patients recover from injury and improve their performance in sport and daily life. Pediatric and adult patients come to me for treatment of various sports injuries. I also treat the Florida Gators athletes and provide care as a team physician for sports teams at a local high school.
When I am not practicing medicine, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors and eating good food.
